With the aim to discuss the present issues occurring in the state and to educate the public against illegal activities, a body known as “Citizens For Justice Manipur” was launched in Imphal on Friday.
The programme was held at the office of Consumer’s Right Commission located at Old Assembly Road, Imphal.
Speaking on the occasion, chairman of Citizens For Justice Manipur, Khaidem Mani said the body was formed with an objective to discuss and face the issues occurring in the state and to inform the government in order to bring a good governance in Manipur under rule of law.
The body was formed on April 13 and officially launched on Friday. There are 8 core committee members in the body, he added.
Convener of the body, Aribam Goutam, representatives from Civil Society Organisations; retired judges, civilians and other members of the body were present.
