Churachandpur's Henglep sub-division PHC gets ambulance

The ambulances will be stationed at Henglep PHC and will be available 24×7 for patients from Wednesday onwards.

In what could be termed as a milestone for Henglep sub-division, one of the most backward sub-divisions of Churachandpur district, MLA Letzamang Haokip on Tuesday, accompanied by the DC, CMO of Churachandpur, handed out ambulance for the Henglep PHC to the concerned Medical Officer that will be stationed at Henglep sub-division headquarters.

The ambulances will be stationed at Henglep PHC and will be available 24×7 for patients from Wednesday onwards. It will cater to emergency matters for patients.

Since time immemorial, the people of Henglep had been suffering due to bad roads and medical facilities forcing villagers to carry critical patients on makeshift bamboo stretchers for over 10 hours to get to the motorable road. The ambulance handed over today will be an important tool to help the people of the area to get access to healthcare.
