Pineapple farmers of Khousabung area, Churachandpur district under the Manipur Pineapple Festival Committee (MPFC) donated about 2,000 pineapples to the Chief Minister's COVID-19 Relief on Friday.
The farmers handed the pineapples to Chief Minister N Biren Singh at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat, Imphal.
The farmers' delegation was led by chairman of MPFC and member of ADC Churachandpur, Seilenmang Khongsai, former chairman of ADC Churachandpur, Khaipao Haokip, member of ADC Churachandpur, Lalhmangpui Fimate, chief of Bunglon, Paukholal Gangte, chief of Khousabung, Khaizathang Gangte and chief of Phunchongjang, Chungjalam Kom, and farmers of the area.
The chief minister expressed his gratitude to the pineapple farmers for their goodwill and concern.
