The Impulse NGO Network, Shillong, in collaboration with New Life Foundation, Manipur, handed over various equipment to district hospital, Churachandpur on Monday under the 'Impulse NGO Network Humanitarian Relief 2021-2023’.
The equipment includes 30 patient beds and a vinyl bed surface for each; five sets of Surgical caps; five gowns for isolated level 1 and 2; 11 walking canes and clutches; two adult size wheelchairs and two adult walkers; two IV Extension and See Tubing; two) sets of needles and mixed gauges; two sets of surgical masks; three sets of N 95 mask; four sets of syringes of 10cc and 12cc; one set of Catheter (including huber, butterfly and fistula) and one set of Primary IV – the equipment were brought in two trucks.
The humanitarian assistant was handed out to the DC of Churachandpur, Sharath Chandra Arroju, and CMO, Dr Kim Simte, by the director of Impulse NGO Network, Rossana Lyngdoh, in the presence of the Secretary of NLF, Manipur, Dr L Pishak Singh and other officials including the MS of Churachandpur District Hospital among others.
On the occasion, DC Sharath Chandra Arroju, who is also the chairman of the District Health Society/National Health Mission, thanked the Impulse NGO Network and New Life Foundation, Manipur for their help and initiative which will go a long way in helping the shortage of medical equipment in the district. The DC also said he looks forward to their cooperation as they are involved in fighting against human trafficking, supporting weaver, tree plantation, etc.
The CMO and others also thanked the Impulse NGO Network and New Life Foundation for the help, pointing out that they are managing the Covid 19 pandemic with the help and donations from NGOs, calling today's donation as one huge contribution for the welfare of patients and a boon to the medical fraternity.
The director of Impulse NGO Network said that they are providing humanitarian assistance to the states of Manipur, Nagaland and Mizoram and are also providing help so as to have food security and also introduce Agro Forestry and food plantations in all these states.
Dr L Pishak Singh said that in partnership with Impulse NGO Network, Shillong they came to Churachandpur District with medical equipment for their first initiative and by 30th of November, 2022 they will be heading to Tamenglong District for the same exercise which is aimed for the benefit of the people who are sick and are in need of help.
