A Full Court Farewell was organised on Thursday at the High Court of Manipur in honour of outgoing Chief Justice Siddharth Mridul, marking his superannuation upon his distinguished service.
Justice Siddharth Mridul was sworn-in as the Chief Justice of Manipur High Court on October 20, 2023.
The event, held at Court Room No. 1 of the High Court, was attended by members of the legal fraternity and the Judges of the High Court.
Presiding over the event were Chief Justice Siddharth Mridul, Justice A Bimol Singh, Justice A Guneshwar Sharma, and Justice Golmei Gaiphulshillu Kabui.
In his address, outgoing Chief Justice Siddharth Mridul expressed his gratitude to his colleagues, the legal fraternity, and the people of Manipur for their support and cooperation throughout his tenure.
He emphasised the importance of maintaining the integrity of the judiciary and nurturing the principles of justice and fairness. Also he shared his experience during his stay in Manipur.
Representatives from the legal fraternity, including advocate general Lenin Hijam, delivered their addresses, expressing their gratitude and admiration for the Chief Justice’s exceptional contributions to the judiciary and the legal system.
On behalf of the Judges of the High Court, Justice A Bimol Singh offered heartfelt remarks, highlighting Justice Siddharth Mridul’s judicial acumen, leadership, and commitment to upholding justice.
The event was later extended at the auditorium of the High Court, where the outgoing Chief Justice was felicitated with bouquets and token of love.
