A Training Programme on Post-Harvest Management cum Awareness Programme on District Agriculture Schemes was conducted at Chelep Village community hall at Tengnoupal Block in Tengnoupal district on Thursday. The training cum awareness programme was held for Masousching Farmers' Producer Company under the Promotion of Sustainable Organic Cultivation for Economic Enhancement Scheme. During the programme, KVK Chandel Horticulture subject specialist Ps Lavid Anal talked about the organic cultivation of turmeric, ginger and lemon. He also highlighted the ways to avail the benefits of various schemes launched by the government. DSSS, Masouching Farmers Producer Company field assistant Kapeshing Seiyao said that the training programme was implemented by Manipur Organic Mission Agency (MOMA) with the aim of enhancing the economic condition of the farmer families. He informed that the event was a part of MOMA's effort to encourage the cultivation of organic turmeric, ginger and lemon for the families registered with Masouching Farmers' Producer Company. The training programme was also held with the aim of providing awareness to all the newly enrolled farmers, he added.
