Deputy commissioner, Chandel Mayanglambam Rajkumar inaugurated the IT/Control room at the DC office Chandel on Saturday.
Speaking to the media persons after the inauguration, the DC said that the state government had already started implementing an e-office system which is also being implemented in the district offices.
The IT room which was inaugurated on Saturday at DC office is part of the many steps which are being taken up by the district administrations of Chandel and Tengnoupal for the compulsory implementation of the e-office system in the district.
While mentioning that a special training is also being conducted, the DC also said that a dedicated IT room has become inevitable as, while implementing any developmental projects or schemes IT has become an essential part of it.
As to enable proper functioning, dedicated manpower and systems are also being utilised, he mentioned. He further opined that this system will bring more effectiveness and transparency while implementing any developmental projects and schemes. He also said that the same is also being implemented at the Tengnoupal district, for which an IT room will also be opened in a few days’ time.
