Stating that the party has the authority to take action under the power of the state president, former chief spokesperson BJP Manipur unit Ch Bijoy on Thursday questioned the delay in the suspension of the 7 (Seven) BJP MLAs from primary membership in connection with the demand for a separate administration for the Kukis.
Addressing the press at Lamphel residence, Bijoy said that 10 MLAs, including seven BJP MLAs made a demand for ‘separate administration’ inside the Manipur state which is endorsed by the state BJP unit of Mizoram.
Why has the state BJP president not taken any action against those BJP MLAs while it has the independent authority to suspend them from the primary membership of the party, the former spokesperson questioned.

State BJP president A Sharda had expressed to media earlier that the party will not compromise on territorial integrity of Manipur at any level.
Bijoy also questioned if the Mizoram BJP shared the decision on supporting the demand of 10 MLAs of Manipur with the Central leaders. And if it is so, why is the party playing a double standard role, he questioned further.
If the Mizoram BJP unit took the decision without the consent of Central BJP leaders then Mizoram BJP unit should be banned immediately, he added.
He said the ongoing communal clash has been giving much impact not only to the two communities but to all the ethnic communities of Manipur.
Bijoy said that banning internet service will not help avoid spreading rumours as rumours are being spread from outside the state too. The best solution is to resume the internet service and the government should also have the capability to bear the criticism of people’s voice, he said.
