Mutum Nanao, a village volunteer from Torbung Bangla, condemned the government for not taking up any steps for safeguarding the innocent civilians from the prevailing clash which broke out on May 3.

He added that people of Phougakchao Ikhai and Torbung-Bangla have been living an uncertain life since the clash broke out and children’s right to education has been snatched away. It is impossible for the small group of men of Torbung Gram Panchayat to face the large number of people of Churachandpur district, he said.
He appealed to the government to deploy additional state forces in the conflict zone areas.
