The Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Central Bureau of Communication, Field Officer Chandel, Imphal Region on Tuesday organised Integrated Communication and Outreach Programme (ICOPs) on International Yoga Day, 2022 at Japhou Community Hall, Chandel.
Ng. Maipakngam, chief/chairman; Kh. Rhingkhung, president, women society of Japhou village; Ng. Longly, youth president and N. Gitchandra Singh, president, BSPYS, Kakching district were the chief guest, guest of honour, resource persons and yoga instructor respectively.
Mathew SK Bengam, Central Bureau of Communication, Field Officer Chandel gave the introductory, keynote and welcome speech.
Ng Lonely, as a resource person, spoke on the benefits of Yoga stating that it is an ancient art that connects the mind and body, an exercise that balances the elements of the bodies.
Gitchandra Singh also spoke on yoga stating that it is an exercise that brings the mental and physical disciplines together to attain a peaceful mind and body.
