The Centre Armed Police Force Pensioner's Society (CAPFPS), a registered society under Society Act, on Saturday held its 5th General Annual Assembly at its office campus located at B Vengnom in Churachandpur.
The Annual Assembly was attended by 49 members of the society, who are pensioners from CRPF, BSF, Assam Rifles, CISF, etc.
On the occasion, the members deliberated on the way forward for the greater welfare of their society and also condoled the five departed members since their inception in 2017.
During the annual assembly, secretary of CAPFPS, Lal Siam, reported on the activities of the society and said that they are always ready to help their members if the matter was put up to the executive committee of CAPFPS. And when a pensioner dies, his widowed wife automatically becomes a member in the society, he added.
Finance Secretary GD Lian Baite made a financial report where he told members that the Society's finance was in good health with a net worth of almost Rs 1.5 lakh which came after deduction of expenditure on condolences and miscellaneous expenses of the Society.
