Candidates of Jiribam AC file nomination

JD-U candidate Md Ashab Uddin expressed the hope that he will win the upcoming election with 3,000 more votes than his closest competitors.

Janata Dal-United (JD-U) candidate of Jiribam assembly constituency, former MLA Md Ashab Uddin on Thursday filed his nomination for the ensuing 12th state general assembly election, to assistant returning officer S Indrajit Singh.

In a press meet Md Ashab Uddin said that he believes he will win the upcoming election with 3,000 more votes than his closest competitors. He assured that if he is elected he will prioritise the development of the road and transports of Jiribam. He had submitted his nomination to the respective assistant returning officer, accompanied by his two proposers.

INC candidate Badhrur Rahman submitted his nomination to the assistant returning officer of Jiribam accompanied by four proposers later in the day. In a press meet, Badhrur said that Congress will win in the election, and assured that if he is elected he will prioritise the education sector and the road and transport of Jiribam.

It can be mentioned that BJP candidate N Budhachandra and NPP candidate MK Abbas Khan had already submitted their nomination.
