An awareness campaign on ‘Millets Production for Increasing Farm Income’ for Haochong and Khundong Village was held at Haochong Village under Noney district on Wednesday.
The said awareness programme was organised by ICAR- KVK Tamenglong ICAR Manipur Centre under its ‘Mega Campaign on Annadata Devo Bhava under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’.
Subject matter specialist agronomy Gaipuichung Kamei highlighted and delivered a speech about the topic of ‘Importance of Millet cultivation for increasing farm income’.
Subject matter specialist soil science I Bhupenchandra also talked about the topics of ‘Soil Fertility Management in Millets Cultivation’.
A millets germplasm collection was led by technical officer (Extension) Lungkhong Riamei.
Around 30 farmers attended the awareness programme. All necessary precautions and measures regarding COVID-19 were strictly followed.
