A bomb exploded at the ZEO office, Phungreitang, in the heart of Ukhrul town on Tuesday, sources said.
According to police sources, a high intensity IED exploded at around 4 pm. However, no injuries were reported.

The explosion caused a small crater at the corridor of office. The impact damaged a window pane and the office gate.
Following the incident, a team of Ukhrul police, led by Ningshem Vashum, SP Ukhrul, rushed to the spot and conducted a preliminary investigation.

Meanwhile Ukhrul police have registered a suo-moto case for further investigation.
Till the time of filing the report, no groups claimed responsibility for the incident.
