The body of VDF personnel N Premananda, which was found at M Lebanon village on Friday, was brought to JNIMS Mortuary at 4.30 pm on Saturday.
According to police, the body had started decomposing. His mobile phone and a jacket were found to be missing, and the cause of his death is yet to be ascertained, as per police.

VDF No.706 Ningombam Premananda, 37, son of N Dina from Thoubal Okram Leikai had been missing since the intervening night of January 21 and 22 while attending duty to destroy illegal poppy plantations around Phaisi village under Chakpikarong Police Station in Chandel district.
