United Clubs Organisation and Apunba Meira Paibi Lup, Ward Number 9 of Keishamthong Assembly Constituency on Wednesday jointly organised a blood donation programme in aid of communal victims at JNIMS Blood Centre in Imphal East District.
The camp, which was a part of the ongoing programme of One India Foundation, New Delhi, was carried out on the occasion of ‘World Blood Donor Day 2023’ being held on the theme ‘Give blood, give plasma, share life, share often’, stated a release.
National General Secretary of One India Foundation, Sana Meitram along with 20 volunteers donated blood at the camp under the guidance of Rajya Sabha MP Rakesh Sinha, it mentioned.
The camp aimed to ease the blood shortage crisis facing the state especially during the prevailing conflict, it stated. A mega blood donation camp will also be held at Thoubal District Hospital on June 24, it added.
