BJP MLA urges MP Bimol to address how to restore peace in Parliament

BJP MLA Kh Ibomcha emphasised the urgent need for the Congress MP to also provide clear suggestions on how to restore peace in Manipur while raising the issue in Parliament.

BJP MLA Kh Ibomcha on Wednesday urged Inner Manipur MP Bimol Akoijam of the Congress party, to raise the ongoing Manipur crisis in the Parliament session as per the wish of the people of Manipur to bring a solution at the earliest.

He made this statement during a distribution of rice to individuals residing in the red zone areas of Lamlai AC such as Sabungkhok Khunou, Santikhongbal, Thamnapokpi, and Sanasabi, held at his residence in Nongada, Imphal East.

The MLA emphasised the urgent need for the Congress MP to also provide clear suggestions on how to restore peace in Manipur while raising the issue in Parliament.

He highlighted that the prolonged crisis has brought significant hardship to all residents, particularly those living in the peripheral regions of hills and valleys.

Ibomcha further pointed out that external (foreign) influences have made it difficult to end the crisis swiftly.
As for the government’s stance, he asserted a firm commitment to ensuring the detection and deportation of illegal immigrants by implementing the NRC with 1961 as the base year.
