The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Khundrakpam mandal has urged the state BJP to declare that the new BJP Khundrakpam Mandal formed on Saturday with the support of six BJP intending candidates as null and void, and issue a clarification within two days.

Speaking to the media at the community hall of Yumnam Khunou, Imphal East on Sunday, BJP Khundrakpam Mandal president M Debaratan appealed to the people of the assembly constituency not to trust the newly formed BJP mandal.

No notification from the state BJP on whether the incumbent president has been suspended or dissolved has been received by the mandal, he said.

It is unfortunate that one Kangabam Hemanta has identified himself as new president of new Khundrakpam BJP mandal with the support from six BJP intending candidates of the same assembly constituency, he said.
