Speaking to media persons, convenor of the JCCWB, Ningthoujam Romesh stated that the bird was safely released at the site. He mentioned that these nets are often set at night and retrieved early in the morning. Romesh also assured that an investigation would be launched into the poachers responsible.

Despite various awareness programmes aimed at protecting wildlife and the environment, many individuals continue to engage in such activities for their personal benefits.
