Bangladeshi Meetei diaspora extended financial aid

A financial aid of Rs 1,75,000 from Bangladeshki Apunba Manipuri Lup was handed over to Chief Minister N Biren Singh for the CM Relief Fund.

Patriotic Writers Forum (PAWF), Manipur on Wednesday handed over financial aid of Rs 1,75,000 from Bangladeshki Apunba Manipuri Lup to Chief Minister N Biren Singh for the CM Relief Fund.

A release by PAWF, Manipur stated that the Bangladeshki Apunba Manipuri Lup extended financial aid of Rs 1,75,000 which was contributed by the Manipuri Meetei diasporas in Bangladesh, to support the displaced victims of the present crisis in the state.

A team of PAWF with its president Naoroibam Khamba Luwang, vice president Sobita Mongjang, secretary Rakesh Naorem and life member Neorem Romila handed over the financial support to CM N Biren, it mentioned. The team also submitted a memorandum by Bangladeshki Apunba Manipuri Lup appealing for the restoration of peace and harmony in the state, it added.
