Bandh called off

The proposed 48-hour bandh along National Highway-37 Imphal-Jiribam was called off following an assurance given by the deputy commissioner Tamenglong.

The ‘Affected Villagers of NH-37, Package 7’ on Wednesday called off their proposed 48-hour bandh along National Highway- 37 Imphal-Jiribam, following an assurance given by the deputy commissioner Tamenglong. 

A statement issued by the Affected Villagers of NH-37, Package 7 Villages Committee chairman and secretary stated that the decision to call off the bandh was taken in a joint meeting chaired by the deputy commissioner, Tamenglong district Pawan Yadav in the presence of designated NHIDCL officials with all the representatives of the 7 villages under package no.7.

Pawan Yadav assured to solve all the prevailing issues within March 2023. The committee called off the bandh, following this assurance.
