A one-day awareness campaign on Prevention and Control of Forest Fire was held at Atengba (Makuai) village under Tousem sub-division of Tamenglong district.

The awareness programme was organised by district forest officer (DFO) of Tamenglong, Kh Hitler Singh.
The resource persons of the programme were Kh Hitler Singh; range forest officer (in-charge) of Tousem Range, A Promeshwor Singh; and director of Rainforest Club Tamenglong, Mordecai Panmei.

The visiting team presented blankets as gifts to the village elders in view of the cold season. They also conducted an awareness campaign on Chief Minister's Green Manipur Mission at the sub-division, the DFO said.
