"Sale of votes is a common trend here. Think well before casting your valuable votes. Are you willing to  compromise the future of your children and the younger generations?" the JD-U candidate asked, while maintaining that no tribal political leaders have been vocal enough to voice against the delimitation issue nor ensure that the Hill Areas Committee recommended ADC Bill be introduced.

Jendai further said that if the delimitation exercise is carried out, several tribal people will lose their lands and asked if the tribals are ready to give up on their lands to "outsiders".

At least 17 Zeliangrong villages between Loktak Project and Kangchup will be affected including Tamenglong district, he said. He urged all citizens of Tamenglong to go with a right thinking mind and choose a leader who can fight for their cause.
