As the issue needs collective efforts across all tribal communities, the ‘Tribal Consultative Meeting’ will be held at Amity Hall, Adimjati Complex, Imphal at 11 am to seek and find a common way-forward of dealing with the matter, stated a notice signed by general secretary Sr Andia.

In the wake of the persistent demand for inclusion of Meetei/Meitei and Meitei Pangal communities in ST category gaining momentum and the valley legislators openly endorsing to the demand, various tribal organisations and individuals including ATSUM at their own capacity, had been raising objection to the demand by apprising both the Central and state leadership of the threat and insecurity felt by the tribal people due to such demand, it stated
