An Assam Rifles personnel attached to No.4 Main Group Assam Rifles Pin 932504 C/O 99 APO at Maram under Maram Police Station in Senapati District was found hanging around 5.15 am on Wednesday.

The deceased AR personnel has been identified as Rifleman (GD) No.5019909 of 15-AR, Sonjit Urang from Arunachal Pradesh. He was found hanging at Quarter No.AR/CPWD/T-I/20-1Transit Camp Maram.
Maram Police Station has registered a case.

After inspecting the crime scene by a team of State Forensic Science Laboratory, the body has been deposited at JNIMS Mortuary to conduct a post mortem examination.
