Assam Rifles officials meet Chief Minister N Biren Singh

The 22 Sector Commander and Commandant of Jwalamukhi Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (East) called upon Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh on Friday and discussed various issues, including law and order, drug menace, and internal security.

Brigadier Bikram Saini, SM, VSM, and Col Puneet Atwal, SM discussed with the CM matters of internal security, drug menace, and effective counter-measures undertaken by the Jwalamukhi Battalion, part of the 22 Sector Assam Rifles.

According to the Assam Rifles, the meeting was a testimony of the invaluable support rendered by the 22 Sector and Jwalamukhi Battalion to curb the nefarious activities in Manipur.

The Assam Rifles, under the aegis of Headquarters Inspector General Assam Rifles (East), with its 22 Sector and under command battalion has been continuously working to achieve a happy and insurgency-free environment and lend maximum support to Manipur.
