Assam Rifles Battalion under the aegis of IGAR (South) organised distribution of essential relief material to the needy and stranded people of village Unopat of Kakching District on Monday.
Approximately 40 people benefited with the aid, the IGAR(S) stated in a release.
The relief operation initiated by Assam Rifles aimed at distribution of relief materials and essential supplies to the affected civilians in Kakching and Chandel Districts of Manipur. Necessities including blankets, slippers, baby diapers and other vital commodities were procured and distributed to the people of the relief camp, the IGAR(S) stated.
This initiative aimed to ensure that the basic needs of the vulnerable section of the population were met to some extent. The Assam Rifles relief team worked diligently to ensure a timely and thoughtful distribution, extending succour to the marginalised sections of the population, the IGAR(S) stated.
