Mr Asia bronze medallist in senior men’s bodybuilding (upto 75 kg weight) Dinesh and 4th position holder (in junior category) Sushil of the same bodybuilding competition were felicitated at Manipur Fitness Club, Nityanand Chuthek, Palace Compound, Imphal East district on Saturday.’
At the programme organised by Manipur Fitness Club, state BJP president A Sharda Devi said that providing encouragement to youths in sports and other physical activities is needed in present society in support of the present government’s ‘war on drugs’ campaign.
The competition was organised by Body Building Association of Maldives under Asian Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Federation under the sponsorship of World Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Federation. The competition was conducted in the Republic of Maldives from July 15-21.
Sharda further said that at present, the state government has been effectively taking various steps to prevent the youth from becoming victims of drugs. She appreciated the Manipur Fitness Club for opening such a fitness centre to encourage the youths in strengthening their health.
