Arambai Tenggol stated that the Kiyamgei incident where one woman was physically assaulted by armed miscreants was not at all related to the Arambai Tenggol.

The Arambai Tenggol on Friday clarified that they have nothing to do with untoward incidents that happened on election day at different polling stations and the viral videos in relation to the 18th Lok Sabha election.

A release signed by control room operator Arambai Tenggol Laishram Robason stated that the Kiyamgei incident where one woman was physically assaulted by armed miscreants was not at all related to the Arambai Tenggol.

It appealed to the police to take up stringent action against those involved. It said that they have also been on the hunt to find out those who have used their name in carrying out illegal activities on election day, it added.

It further clarified that no such instructions to carry out the untoward incidents were given by Arambai Tenggol to its members. Some people have been trying to defame Arambai Tenggol, it stated.

It also appealed to the Election Commission of India for a repoll in Bhamon Kampu, Iroisemba and Khongman Zone 4 as unwanted activities were reported from the area.
