One 36 Assam Rifles havildar was found hanging in a suspicious manner at 36-AR C/O 99 APO in Aina under Henglep Police station, Churachandpur district around 4.30 am on Saturday.
The deceased is Hara Kanta Nath, 44, son of late Math Ram Nath of Kahuatali Village, Assam bearing havildar number 5359007A (Operator Radio Line) posted at Aina 36-AR C/O 99 APO.
As per the report submitted by 36-AR Subedar Sobba Kanth Jha to the Henglep Police Station, Havildar Hara Kanta Nath was found hanging at an abandoned toilet complex near 36-AR Signal Centre of Company Operating Base.
His death occurred under suspicious circumstances, as per sources.
Henglep Police Station has registered a case in connection with the incident, and a post mortem has been conducted at RIMS mortuary. Investigation of the case will proceed as per the postmortem report.
