Applications invited for RK Maipaksana Journalist Fellowship 2023

The RK Maipaksana Memorial Trust has invited applications from the working Journalists/columnists of Manipur for awarding the RK Maipaksana Journalist Fellowship 2023.

The RK Maipaksana Memorial Trust has invited applications from the working Journalists/columnists of Manipur for awarding the RK Maipaksana Journalist Fellowship 2023 for working in the fields of human rights, communal harmony, women and children of Manipur, Sports in Manipur, art and culture and films of Manipur and development of hills and interiors of Manipur and science and technology.

A notice issued by the trust on Wednesday, said the application for the Fellowship should be submitted in plain paper on or before September 27, 2023 to managing trustee of RK Maipaksana Memorial Trust, Th Ibohanbi. The fellowship contains cash of Rs 3,000 per month and will be given to a  journalist/columnist for one year, it stated.

It said that journalist/columnist who has worked in a newspaper in Manipur for at least one year are eligible to apply. While applying for the Fellowship, the Journalist/Columnist should submit the clippings of his/her writings published by line during the last one year, it added. 

It further mentioned that the application for the fellowship should be submitted with the recommendation of the Editor of the Newspaper in which he/she is working along with an undertaking of the Editor that the Features/News stories etc. of the Journalist/Columnist will be published in the Newspaper during the fellowship

It added that at least two Features/News stories etc. are to be published in a month. If the Journalist/Columnist fails to publish Features/News stories etc. the Fellowship will be discontinued, it said. Journalist/Columnist who has been awarded the Fellowship once cannot apply again and in case applications received are not in conformity with the aims and objects of the Trust, the decision of the Board of Trustee will be final, the notice said.
