The Directorate of Language Planning and Implementation, Manipur on Tuesday invited applications for two-month Local Language Training Programme of seven languages, including Anal, Paite, Rongmei, Paomei, Tangkhul, Thadou and Meeteilon.
The directorate stated that applicants should not have any formal degree, native proficiency or informal knowledge in the language applied for and the applicants should have a minimum educational qualification of class 12 passed.
The age limit of the applicants must be below 50 years as on October 1 of 2022, it continued. Financial assistance of Rs 5,000 will be given to each trainee (subject to change from time to time), it mentioned.
In-service applicants must submit their application through proper channels duly certified and forwarded by the authority concerned, it added. It also mentioned that preference will be given to learners who have a long-term interest in language and language development activities.
Trainees must submit an undertaking if he/she leaves in the middle of the training and the total amount of incentive/stipend received may be recovered from him/her, it stated.
The trainees are also expected to secure the minimum pass marks in the respective assignments and examinations, it maintained.
It informed that duly filled and attested application form along with relevant documents may be submitted at the office of Directorate of Language Planning and Implementation, Manipur at Sega Road Takhellambam Leikai, Imphal West on or before November 15, 2022.
“Details about general information including the application format and prospectus are available in the department’s official website www.dlpi.mn.gov.in. Information about the mode of selection, date, time and venue will also be notified in the website as well,” it added.
