The All Manipur Newspapers and Electronic Media Employees Association (AMNEMEA) on Sunday extended financial assistance of Rs 13,000 to former head machine-man of Manipuri daily ‘Naharolgi Thoudang’, Laishram Ambari from Sega Road Thouda Bhabok Leikai.

AMNEMEA carried out the activity for the 48th time in continuation of the assistance provided to the members of the association in times of crisis, stated a release. It also said that L Ambari, who served as head machine-man in Naharolgi Thoudang, had been unemployed ever since the newspaper stopped publication on June 7.

AMNEMEA members, led by its president Khunjamayum Amuchou, handed over the amount to Ambari in acknowledgement of his efforts and hardships facing him, it mentioned. It further said that the association has been providing necessary assistance to all its members in time of need and will continue to do so.
