Alleged rhino poacher arrested in Churachandpur

The alleged Rhino poacher has been identified as one Chinzason Valte, 41, alias Sonpu son of Nengzathang Valte resident of Burngmual Zoar Veng.

An alleged Rhino poacher who was declared wanted under wildlife protection Act has been arrested by a team of Churachandpur district on Wednesday.

The alleged Rhino poacher has been identified as one Chinzason Valte, 41, alias Sonpu son of Nengzathang Valte resident of Burngmual Zoar Veng.

A release issued by superintendent of police, Churachandpur mentioned that the said alleged poacher was arrested by the district police team after receiving an input from district police, Golaghat, Assam. It is mentioned that a case had been registered against the said person under FIR number BKT PS C/No-131/2020 U/S 120(B)/447/429/379 IPC r/w section 51(1-A) wildlife protection Act, r/w section 25(1-A)/27 Arms Act.

The arrested person has been handed over to a team of district police, Golaghat, Assam by observing all necessary legal formalities. It is also mentioned that district police Churachandpur will continue to extend cooperation to uphold the law of the land.
