The JAC against the brutal killing of AK Nonganba alias Aging and family members of the deceased have taken the body of Nonganba from RIMS mortuary on Sunday and performed last rites.
JAC members said that they agreed to take the body after the state government assured to hand over the case to the National Investigation Agency (NIA).
It may be mentioned that main accused of the case NSCN (I-M) deputy kilonser Moses Gonmei of Katomei Namgailong and Thokchom Sonia of Kwakeithel Thokchom Leikai have been sent to jail after Kangpokpi Police Station arrested them and remanded them in judicial custody by JMIC Kangpokpi.
It may be recalled that Akoijam Nonganba alias Aging, son of former minister, late AK Langam from Kwakeithel Awang Konjeng Leikai was found dead on February 12 at Changoubung under Kangpokpi Police station.
