Activist Mandir Laishram’s 1st death anniversary observed

A two-day free medical camp was held, which included blood donation camp, gifts for elders, and the distribution of health cards was also organised to mark the day.

Heirok Apunba Club commemorated the first death anniversary of social activist Mandir Laishram on Monday at the community hall in Heirok Part I Mamang Leikai and paid tributes in his memory.

Co-ordinator of SAKSHAM North Eastern, G Jadumani Sharma, state secretary of SAKSHAM, Jiten Khuman, president of Heirok Apunba Club, Wahengbam Jiban, Khundrakpam Itomcha and convenor of Apunba Meira Paibi Heirok Thokchom Sandhyarani Devi, among others attended the event.

During the event, advisor Laishram Jadumani expressed deep sorrow over the loss of Mandir Laishram, noting that his absence has left a significant void in the community. He noted Mandir’s commitment in fostering unity within the Heirok community and the vital role he played during the ongoing crisis.

A blood donation camp was organised in collaboration with the Blood Centre and Transfusion Unit of District Hospital Thoubal, under the aegis of CMO of Thoubal. In partnership with SAKSHAM Manipur, HAL also facilitated a free eye treatment camp for individuals aged 70 and above
