Action has been initiated and discussions are underway on the demands of 10 Kuki MLAs by the Manipur Legislative Assembly Privilege and Ethics Committee, MLA cum chairman of the Privilege Committee, Nishikant Sapam said on Sunday.
Talking to the members of the joint United Club’s Organisation of Keishamthong, Ward No. 9 who had come to his residence to submit a memorandum, the MLA said that action has been initiated on the demands of the 10 Kuki MLAs and the result will be known on May 31 when the Privilege and Ethics Committee of Manipur Legislative Assembly meet.
The MLA, however, made it clear stating that a separate administration will not be allowed and that he will stand together with any decision of the general public for protection of Manipur.
Responding to the query of irate mob on his position in the present imbroglio, the MLA replied that he would forever stand for Manipur.
The memorandum submitted by the joint club had six points calling for action against the 10 Kuki MLAs, removal of SoO, implementation of NRC, protection of the territorial integrity of Manipur among others.
