The organisations comprising IPAK, IPSA, ACOAM LUP, PANDM, ERDO, LOYALUP, KSA, KANGLAMEI, KIL, CLK, MIKL, AKSHIL, and SWA criticised the MLAs for prioritising the agendas of national political parties over the welfare of the state, leading to what they described as a significant decline in Manipur’s condition.

Speaking to the media in Imphal, Shanta Nahakpam, the spokesperson for the group, condemned the government’s failure to rescue six women and children abducted by Kuki militants, despite repeated appeals, highlighting the government’s inefficiency.

He accused the MLAs of lacking the political will needed to address Manipur’s challenges and urged them to step down and initiate a fresh start in consultation with the public.

Calling for unity and a collective stand for Manipur’s future, he also appealed to residents to display black flags at their homes as a symbol of protest.
