300 more BSF personnel arrive in Manipur

A total of 30 BSF companies are expected to be transported to Manipur as a part of the ongoing efforts to bring the law-and-order situation under control.

A total of 300 more Border Security Force (BSF) personnel reportedly arrived at Bir Tikendrajit International Airport in Imphal in four Indian Air Force aircraft on Thursday.

The flights bringing the personnel from 4 BSF companies started arriving in the wee hours, and the last flight landed around 6.40 pm, as per sources. 

They were reportedly transported from Guwahati, Assam. It may be recalled that as many as 500 personnel of 8 Border Security Force (BSF) companies had earlier arrived in Imphal airport on four different flights on Tuesday while BSF personnel of 11 companies had also arrived in the state on Monday. 

A total of 30 BSF companies are expected to be transported to Manipur as a part of the ongoing efforts to bring the law-and-order situation under control and restore normalcy back into the state, the sources said.
