30 women from villages in Thoubal district take part in beauty training programme

A one-month Swavalamban Kaushal Unnayan Programme on Make-up and Hair-Styling is being organised by the Council for Advancement of Rural Development (CARD).

As many as 30 young women and girls from different villages of Thoubal district took part in the training programme  - the inaugural day of the one-month Swavalamban Kaushal Unnayan Programme on Make-up and Hair-Styling was organised by the Council for Advancement of Rural Development (CARD), Thoubal Kshetri leikai. It was inaugurated at the conference hall of CARD on Thursday.

The training programme with support of the Small Industries Development Bank of India, Imphal was organised with the objective of giving knowledge and basic information of make-up and hair styling. The main aims of the programme also include setting up of enterprises to generate employment.

The event was attended by retired general manager of District Industries Centre, government of Manipur Y Raghumani as the chief guest; Manipur Industries Development Council, (MIDC) Imphal chairmen P Loken Singh as guest of honour; and Small Industries Development Bank of India, Imphal branch in-charge Vikram Kumar as functional president.
