Eikhoi gi Yaipha Lamjing Lup (EYLL), Chingamathak Imphal and Iramdam Maheikol (IMA) Langmeidong, Kakching District jointly organised the 28th meritorious award celebration 2023 on Sunday at IMA, Langmeidong office.
Hiyanglam MLA Radheshyam Yumnam; EYLL Chinga Mathak president E Iboyaima; Manipur University Registrar Wahengbam Chandbabu; Sahitya Academy Awardee Maibam Nabakishore; Wabagai Higher Secondary school principal Mayengbam Bhorot; Eureka Academy, Thounaojam principal E Joy and Iramdam Maheikol, Langmeidong principal Tiken Longjam attended the programme as presidium members.
The programme felicitated the meritorious students of Hiyanglam and Wabagai who passed with high marks in BOSEM and COHSEM examination.
Speaking at the event, MLA Radheshyam expressed the need to produce more meritorious students who will uplift the state in every way. He also advised the students to respect their teachers, elders and to be on their best behaviour.
EYLL general secretary Chabungbam Sanajaoba Meitei said that EYLL was formed in the year 1993 with like minded 52 members from different professions, in the aim to elevate education, art and culture, social economics and health sector in the state. He added that EYLL has been felicitating meritorious students of Hiyanglam and Wabagai since the year 1995.
It may be mentioned that 12 different awards were distributed to the students during the event. Students, teachers and people from both the constituencies attended the event.
