Imphal West district police seized a total of 2,880 Lagao dice during a drive conducted in connection with the Diwali festival, and Imphal police station won the first prize for making the highest number of seizures during the drive.
During the drive conducted ahead and on the day of Diwali festival, Imphal Police station seized as many as 528 Lagao dice and won a cash prize of Rs 20,000. Mayang Imphal police station seized 318 Lagao dice and won second prize of Rs 15,000, and with the seizure of 300 Lagao dice, Sekmai police station won the third prize of Rs 10,000.
Besides, Imphal West district commando unit seized 1,428 Lagao dice and won a special best prize of Rs 20,000, while sub-inspector L Shitaljit Singh of Imphal West district commando seized 306 Lagao dice and won Rs 10,000 for highest individual seizure of Lagao dice.
The seizures were disposed of at Lamdeng, Imphal West on Sunday evening.
