At least 13 people were injured in a road mishap at Khararpung, 2 km south from Ukhrul Police station when the bus carrying students suffered a brake failure.

The accident happened at around 10.20 am on Tuesday.
The bus, bearing registration number MN01/2048, was carrying students of Pettigrew College and met with an accident due to brake failure. Thirteen people, including 11 students, the driver and the handyman were injured.

According to police, most of the injuries are minor except for the handyman, who has been taken to Imphal for treatment.
Till the filing of this story, Ukhrul police are yet to take up a case regarding the mishap.
