Amid Christmas celebration, severe cold wave gripped North India and several parts of the region woke up to a foggy morning on Monday.
According to reports, places in Rajasthan reported lowest minimum temperature with the mercury plummeting to -1.5 degree Celsius at Fatehpur, while Churu reported zero degree Celcius.
Delhi recorded minimum temperature at 5 degrees Celsius – three notches below normal, while maximum temperature is likely to settle around 19 degrees Celsius.
As the cold wave sweeped through the Christmas night, many homeless on the street were seen trying the survive the night by warming up to bonfire by the roadsides.
