PM Modi to launch nationwide Pradhan Mantri Digital Health Mission on September 27

Under the PM-DHM, a unique digital health ID will be provided, which will contain all the health records of the person.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to roll out the nationwide Pradhan Mantri Digital Health Mission (PM-DHM), earlier known as National Digital Health Mission (NDHM), on September 27.

Taking to Twitter, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya said under the PM-DHM, a unique digital health ID will be provided, which will contain all the health records of the person. The unique ID will be created with details like Aadhar and mobile number.

"PM @NarendraModi ji to announce nationwide rollout of Pradhan Mantri Digital Health Mission on September 27. Under this, a unique digital health ID will be provided to the people, which will contain all the health records of the person," the union health minister tweeted.

The PM-DHM supports universal health coverage in an  accessible, efficient, inclusive, affordable and safe manner through the provision of a wide range of data, information and infrastructure services, official sources said.

The Pradhan Mantri Digital Health Mission has already been implemented in pilot phase in the six union territories of Andaman an Nicobar Islands, Chandigarh, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, and Daman and Diu, Ladakh, Lakshadweep and Puducherry, the official sources added.
