India bans 47 more Chinese mobile apps

The Indian Government has banned 47 more Chinese apps. With it, 106 mobile applications have been banned for being prejudicial to India's sovereignty, integrity and security, according to reports.

The government is yet to issue an official statement and there is no list of the banned apps yet, but according to reports, the 47 additional Chinese apps that have been banned were "clones and variants "of the apps which were blocked earlier. The ban order was issued on Friday, sources said.

On June 29, the government had banned 59 Chinese apps, as they were prejudicial to sovereignty, integrity and security of the country, it stated. The banned list included apps like TikTok, which has maximum users from India, Shareit, UC Browser, Likee, YouCam makeup, ES File Explorer, DU Recorder, Cam Scanner, Clean Master-Cheetah Mobile, Mobile Legends, Clash of Kings among others..
