Tamenglong district immunization officer Dr Sunil Kamei on Friday stressed that one’s true message about the diseases and timely vaccination can save many lives, while appealing to the general public to put their faith and trust in what the church leaders are preaching in the churches.
Dr Sunil Kamei was speaking as resource person during a one-day capacity building on COVID-19 and routine immunisation held at Peace Hall Tamenglong district headquarters organised by Churches Auxilary for social Action (CASA) Tamenglong.
He said that church leaders need to be fully aware about the COVID-19 vaccination and routine immunisation including Intensified Mission Indra Dhanus (IMI) 5.0.
He said that a child needs good health to build a good and strong society that begins from home and it is the duty of parents to keep a child healthy.
Dr Sunil Kamei spoke lengthily about COVID-19 vaccination and routine immunization and Intensified Mission Indra Dhanus (IMI) 5.0.
The programme was attended by religious leaders including pastors, deacons, women society’s leaders, men society’s leaders from different churches in Tamenglong district headquarters.
He further mentioned that following the strict implementation of immunization for children in Tamenglong district, many diseases including diarrhea, dysentery, rubella, ammonia, musel, etc have been tremendously decreased in the district hospital.
