India's Omicron cases reached 4,461, while the daily COVID-19 positive caseload mounted to 1,68,063, according to the latest updates by the Union Health Ministry on Tuesday.
Of the total Omicron cases across the country, Maharashtra has 1,247 confirmed cases, the highest among all states and Union territories.
Rajasthan took over Delhi as the state with the second highest Omicron cases at 645 cases. Delhi has total 546 Omicron cases, followed by Karnataka with 479 cases, Kerala 350 and Uttar Pradesh with 275 cases.
India today has 3,58,75,790 total confirmed COVID-19 cases, while the COVID-19 active caseload stood at 8,21,446. The death toll reached 4,84,213 as 277 more patients succumbed to the illness.
The recovery rate stood at 96.36 per cent as 69,959 recoveries were reported in the last 24 hours. The total recoveries reached 3,45,70,131 as of Tuesday.

Consequently, the current daily positivity rate is 10.64 per cent and the weekly positivity rate is 8.85 per cent.
So far, 69.31 cr total tests have been conducted across the country and 152.89 cr vaccine doses have been administered under the Nationwide Vaccination Drive.
