Free medical camp at Kwatha

A two-day Free Medical Camp cum Free Relief Materials Distribution was organised by Saina Institute of Medical Science (SIMS) at Kwatha village and Kwatha Khunou village of Tengnoupal district from Thursday to Friday.

SIMS managing director (MD) cum secretary S Kumar and chief advisor Khoirom Loyalakpa initiated the medical camp to provide free medical check up and free relief materials at the remote villages of the state.

In the camp with four doctors and four staff nurses along with 28 paramedic staff, a total of 35 villagers of Kwatha Khunou and Molphei village were provided with free health check up on the second day, and more than 160 villagers from Kwatha village participated in the free health check up.

As a part of the programme, the villagers were provided with essential food items such as rice, dal, salt and mustard oil. The 20 AR of Kwatha extended their cooperation and support to the organiser for the initiative.

Speaking on the occasion, SIMS MD S Kumar said that the relief materials for the programme were a collection from the well wishers and likeminded people of the state. He assured that he will provide free medical education to two students of the Kwatha village.

Kwatha Village Authority secretary L Sanjoy extended appreciation to the SIMS for the initiative on behalf of the villagers.
