Accompanying Central's triumph, three other outstanding Peruvian restaurants have also earned well-deserved spots on the prestigious list: Maido (ranked 6th), Kjolle (ranked 28th), and Mayta (ranked 47th). Their inclusion further exemplifies the depth and breadth of Peru's culinary talent.

The World's 50 Best Restaurants ranking was established in 2002. The selection process involves a carefully audited voting system, with the participation of a panel comprising over a thousand renowned gastronomy experts.

“It was only a matter of time before the cuisine of Peru garnered these important accolades. The Peruvian restaurants among the world’s 50 best, are a testament to the ingenuity and culinary excellence of Peruvian chefs, and to the melting pot of traditions that are at the base of Peruvian cuisine, which blends our ancient roots with influences from all continents”, said Peru Ambassador to India, Javier Paulinich.
